 According to director of 2016 version of Suicide Squad movie, David Ayer the film was meant to be part of the Justice League film universe. During the release of the movie on screen, there were many modifications were made that totally changed the outlook of the movie.  The 2019 released debut Pokémon film, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu was the first among the films to break the curse of video-game adaptation film as it was able to garner more than $430 million worldwide.
