Today, Krafton announced that players can pre-register themselves for their new game, Battlegrounds Mobile India. The game was launched after the ban on PUBG game by Indian Government. PUBG was banned in India after Chinese skirmish last year which led to banning of more than 119 Chinese apps including Alipay and Tiktok. However, as India being a top 3 market for esports and mobile games, Krafton wanted to be part of this market. Krafton met many officials to discuss how to remove ban from its mobile game. Afterwards, Krafton decided to ban access to PUBG mobile from Indian servers and few months later announced that they were coming up with new version of PUBG especially developed for India. Krafton announced that the new version of PUBG game for India will be known as "Battlegrounds Mobile India".
