Eastward game has lot of influence from other 2D games most exclusively Legend of Zelda and Earthbound. Looking at the artwork and color patterns it can be easily identified that it has lot of influence of Earthbound with lot of Japanese influence. It combines the 2D artworks present in games with modern technology such as dynamic lighting. Such features makes this game one of the most beautiful 2D games present in market. Eastward follows the pattern of Legend of Zelda and allows turn based moves and role playing game for the player. The story of Eastward follows two protagonists- John, who remains mute and Sam, who is too much talkative which gives resembles to the characters of Last of Us. Story follows their journey to find freedom in the post apocalyptic world.
