On 17th June, 2021, The Pokemon International Company and Tencent Games' TIMI Studio Group jointly announced that their new Pokemon game named "Pokemon: Unite" will be released on Nintendo Switch this July. It will be followed by release of the game in mobile phones in the month of September 2021. The game is planned to be free-for-all game with only in-game purchases available for gamers. The game will be strategic team battle game where each trainer will form a team with other players and battle a similar team to win a pokemon match.
