Disney will delay the release of sequels of Thor, Doctor Strange as well as Indiana Jones

Disney has announced that its latest films that are sequel to its most famous franchises would be delayed ranging from months to years. This news might be heartbreaking for many fans although Disney confirmed that these delays are not related to box office revenues.

                          Disney stated that "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" will be delayed from July 8 to November 11. Similarly, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" will be releasing on May 6 instead of March 25. Whereas, "Thor: Love and Thunder" will be delayed to July 8 instead of May 6. These chain sequence will impact the release of "The Marvels", thus rescheduling its release to early 2023. "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" will come to theatres on July 28, 2023 instead of February 17.

These delays will also impact the Indiana Jones franchise. The Harrison Ford starring film, the untitled Indiana Jones franchise will be delayed to July 29, 2023 in place of June 30, 2023. The sources at Disney clarified that the delays are not related to box office revenue generations instead they are due to production delays faced during filming. The sequel of Black Panther is still undergoing shooting in Atlanta. As the films are interconnected in Marvel Universe, it is required that the films are released in sequence.

Following is the calendar release dates for Disney films:

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Madness from March 25, to May 6
  • Thor: Love and Thunder from May 6 to July 8
  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from July 8 to November 11
  • Untitled Indiana Jones from July 29 to June 30, 2023
  • Untitled Disney Live action from July 14, 2023 to unscheduled
  • The Marvels from November 11 to February 17, 2023
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania from February 17, 2023 to July 28, 2023
  • Untitled Marvel from July 29, 2023 to unscheduled
  • Untitled Marvel from November 10, 2023 to November 3, 2023
Few films are removed from the schedule including an Untitled 20th Century film (previous release date October 20, 2023) and an Untitled Marvel film (previous release date October 6, 2023).

Ubisoft working on a new Splinter Cell game

Rumors are going around that a new Splinter Cell game is being developed by Ubisoft following the release of VR game based on Splinter Cell franchise.  The Latest game would be traditional game for PCs, and consoles. Recently there has been Easter eggs of Splinter Cell in different Ubisoft games such as Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Although, it initially was meant to energize the brand of Sam Fisher once again, it backfired as fans were not in a mood to enjoy Easter eggs.
