Battlefield 2042 delayed to November 2021

 

In its latest announcement made by Electronics Arts, EA reported that Battlefield 2042 has been delayed by one month to November 19, 2021. Previously, Battlefield 2042 was planned to be released on October 22, however, due to COVID-19 related complications the date was delayed.

DICE GM Oskar Gabrielson stated in a press release, "Given the scale and scope of the game, we had hoped our teams would be back in our studios together as we move towards launch". He further added, "With the ongoing conditions not allowing that to happen safely, and with all the hard work the teams are doing from home, we feel it is important to take the extra time to deliver on the vision of Battlefield 2042 for our players."

The official press release related to delay in release of game was followed shortly by leak of Beta dates  These leaks were made by Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_). Initially, it was leaked that Beta dates would occur during September month, however, with the delay in release of game, Beta dates would be delayed too. 

Tom Henderson tweeted that new dates for Open Access would be schedule on October 6 whereas Open Beta Test would occur on October 8.

Universal Pictures is collaborating with Epic Games to bring a new mini-series

With the Halloween ending, the ongoing event in Fortnite, Shortnitemares Festival will also be ending soon. However, before its end, we would be able to watch a mini-series that would be inspired by Halloween. The collaboration between Epic games and Universal Pictures has resulted in creation of a mini-series called "We Will Be Monsters".
