Belgian Appeal Studios have announced that after a long hiatus from 1999 onwards, game developer are working on a new sequel to the original Outcast game. According to game developers, the new game is titled Outcast 2: A New Beginning.
The game will be developed by Appeal Studios and published by THQ Nordic who have helped bring back this project to life after it was canceled earlier.in 2000 due to financial issues. Earlier, the sequel was titled Outcast 2: The Lost Paradise.
A modern remake of Outcast 1 was released with titled Outcast- Second Contact in 2017 with Nacon as publisher.
THQ Nordic have stated that they have managed to bring back the original crew of Outcast 1 for this project including composer Lennie Moore.
Story of Outcast 2 takes place after a span of 20 years in the planet of Adelpha where invading robot forces are enslaving the local Talan people and extracting all natural resources of Adelpha. Outcast 2 will provide games with non-linear story line along side adventure to learn about the Talan people and their ancient powers to subsequently defeat the invading forces.
According to THQ Nordic, the game will be developed for PS5, Xbox series X|S as well as PCs.
