Recent Official blog of 343 Industries provided us with more clarity about multiplayer gaming process that will be witnessed in Halo Infinite. According to Live Team Design Director, Ryan Paradis, concept of seasons will be present in game where each season will be three months long. Each of these seasons will have new events, new gameplay style, new upgradation mechanism, new costume designs and many more.
According to Christopher Blohm (Lead Progression Designer of Halo Infinite) events will occur every week. Each event will be made so that player experience fun and enjoyment on participating in events. Few weeks will also host bigger events where new events and better rewards could be gained. Some of these events where bigger rewards are earned will be known as "Fracture". These events will lead to earning of better weapons and armors so that player abilities are further strengthened. Players will be also provided login rewards with certain days of week having better rewards.
Ryan Paradis also stated that Battle Pass will made in such a way that it does not require much grinding to gain the pass. The Battle Pass of each season will be permanent so that Battle pass of season 1 will remain forever with player. Players will be able to make in-game purchases such as buying Battle passes if they are unable to complete events due to any circumstances.
Halo team member KP announced that Halo team will move onto Discourse as social media and forum platform to connect with its fans. Therefore, Halo will no longer hold forum on their own website and same will be transferred to Discourse.
It was also declared that first season will revolve around Reach and therefore titled as "Heroes of Reach". The events will give character more depth and backstory to properly embed into whole story. Reach was chosen due to its rich history in Halo. Spartans have always been linked to Reach in one way or another. The multiplayer season occur during a transformational moment where time span between old and new generation of Spartans. The time represent the situation when Halo 5 events have occurred and Reach is fundamentally changed.
